When you know your Self, your future becomes clear.
Do you know who you are, what you want, and how to bring out your best? Some people feel an impulse to act on an inner calling. Others yearn to resign from corporate America to explore a passion or start a new career. If empty nesting or retirement is around the corner, they wonder what lies ahead.
First, we’ll back up. Then you’ll go forward.
Through a series of self-reflective exercises, exploration and experimentation, the Self Syllabus on LIFE offers you a direct link to who you really are — your passions, purpose, needs, values; what matters most to you. You decide what you want to work and off we go!
You’ll address blocks and barriers that often lie uncovered. You’ll get in touch with a deeper sense of purpose, then orient you life around it. Your successes will come from a place of authenticity — where you DO more. BE more. GIVE more.
Real life stories in real time.
If your head is full of questions and your heart’s compass needs a tune-up, you’re in the same position as many of the people I’ve coached. And as they searched for answers, their stories may have some things in common with your own…
Chris’ Story:
“I’m in search of a new career path. Currently, I’m a non-profit director where my position is in jeopardy as new leadership is soon to take over. For most of my life I’ve operated out of my head, not my heart, so my gut is never listened to. I’m known for keeping my thoughts and feelings to myself, being sure to carefully protect them so I don’t show my weaknesses. Others see me as a calm, highly organized, and put together person. (I think to myself…if they only knew.) I know deep inside that I must take risks, be vulnerable, gain confidence, and trust that what lies ahead will bring out the best version of myself. Can you help me?”
Kara’s Story:
“I’m a recent empty nester as my last child is away at college. I now feel stuck in this transition as I face this pivotal transition. I’ve been in the health and wellness field for decades, yet now ask, is this still meant to be my path? Many days I feel like I’m walking around looking for something that I can’t find and don’t even know what it is. I want to get to know me again. I want to know what I am good at, what I care about, what my weaknesses are, and what stands in my way. I want to know how to use my gifts and skills in a way that will make a difference in the lives of others. I want to be a happier person. How do I do it?”
James’ Story:
“I’ve been working on my patent for years now. I’ve spent countless hours in product development, hired a branding company, and have a recurring dream that it will be wildly successful — its time has come. But taking the steps to leave a secure career has been a stumbling block. I get this crazy feeling that I’m in a ‘forever development’ stage and can’t break the spell. And some of my friends and family are like ‘spellcasters’ seeding doubt into my dream. Am I too attached to what people think of me? Am I here to prove something? To myself? To them? I seem trapped in ‘failure to launch’. How can I ignite my dreams?”
Each of these stories has a wonderful next chapter. So can yours!
Here’s an example of the feedback received from a participant:
“Cindy helped me to understand how my brain is wired, what energizes me, and what creates negative stress. She encouraged me to push the boundaries of my routine and how to break some negative vicious circles. To find Cindy has been like finding a compass in a forest or a user manual for a device I was never fully able to understand. The time spent with her will influence all my future days, the relationship I have with my colleagues, with my family and friends, and happiness in life.” — I.S.
